Welcome to The Creator Report! I am a 7-year content creator, digital and affiliate marketer, and the creator of the YouTube Channel Digital Escape. I am affiliated with over 70+ products and have created information products in the internet marketing space. I also operate Endvr Digital, a digital marketing agency and a SaaS company. I am a retired Coast Guard officer and reside in Houston, Texas.
How It Started
At the end of 2018, the government went into a shutdown, which directly affected the paychecks of all Department of Homeland Security employees. That included me and 42,000 other active-duty Coast Guard members. This was the first time military members of the United States would not be paid. This lasted for nearly a month and a half. With no additional income streams, I realized I should probably look for other ways to make money from home. I started a dropshipping store in early 2019 with absolutely no idea what I was doing. After three months, I shut the store down, realizing you had to run paid ads and ship products from China that took three weeks to arrive in the States. I went back to the drawing board and found several YouTube content creators discussing digital and affiliate marketing. I was hooked from the first video because you didn’t need to create or ship a product to make money online.
Building A Foundation
Since it appeared that all successful digital and affiliate marketers had YouTube channels, I started my channel in July of 2019. Over the next year, I would create over 65 videos, reach 1,000 subscribers, earn my first $1,000 in affiliate commissions, and monetize my YouTube channel. After the first year, I now understood the power of the internet and how important it was to create searchable content and build an audience.
Hitting My Stride
Early 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. I started seeing many other online marketers succeed with TikTok in promoting affiliate products. Since I was already creating content on YouTube, it was an easy transition to short-form content. The next two years were an absolute blur. I would amass a following of over 150,000 people on TikTok, cross the 10,000 subscriber mark on YouTube, and crack my first six figures online. I continue to educate people on practical and ethical digital marketing strategies through my content and this newsletter.
Why I created The Creator Report
I created The Creator Report because I was tired of watching talented people burn hours feeding algorithms and getting little to show for it. I’ve lived both sides—operator and creator—and learned that “more content” isn’t a strategy; systems are. After years of building businesses, advising founders, and nerding out on AI, I saw a gap: creators didn’t need more scattered tips; they needed activation.
